Job brief

We’re looking for a creative, passionate, and driven new member. This role will focus on executing the needs of our clients for meetings, conventions, and similar events. The Meeting and Convention Planner will oversee the planning and execution of the events to the requested vision and goal.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with clients to accurately understand the vision for each event.
  • Consult with staff and managers to ensure accurate scheduling.
  • Ensure that events comply with all legal and safety requirements.
  • Develop and monitor a budget that is in compliance with company guidelines.
  • Liaise with the maintenance department to ensure grounds are clean and up to standard.
  • Create a list of available spaces as well as the prices of other stakeholders and services.

Requirement

  • Associate’s degree or above in event management, hospitality, or another related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in management, event planning, or customer service essential
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to delegate and prioritize tasks based on skill and competence
  • Knowledge of legal requirements for events will be an asset
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to work with a flexible schedule in order to accommodate events
