Solution Architect job description

Job brief

We are looking for an innovative, determined, and dynamic Solution Architect to join our team and be able to implement systems architecture to help and solve specific our organization’s network issues. The Solution Architect's job responsibilities include testing, interpreting, reinterpreting, and integrating program software systems to address and solve specific business issues within the organization. You will work with a great team of electricians and will be the best help for them to install, repair or replace power lines. Lastly, you will work with the organization’s leaders to discover issues and then work with our IT team to address those finding problems with innovative software solutions. 

Responsibilities

• Designing, modifying, and testing technical architecture.
• Provide supervision and specific guidance to development teams.
• Continuous research activities on the current and emerging technologies and also propose changes where needed. 
• Inform various stakeholders about any issues with the current technical solutions being implemented. 
• Assessing the business impact that certain technical choices have. 
• Work closely with the project management teams to successfully monitor the progress of initiatives. 
• Provide updates where are available to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets. 

Requirements and skills  

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science is preferred
• Proven work experience as a Solution Architect or similar role
• Previous project management experience is advantageous
• Very good understanding and application of coding languages (Java, JavaScript, etc.)
• Efficient communication skills
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
