Job brief

Our company has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and knowledgeable Training Director to join our team! Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a wealth of experience in training and development, with previous experience in a management or senior role. The key focus of the position is to direct the training department effectively in its operations, ensuring suitable and viable training is delivered in a timely manner and within budget!

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with trainers in the training department to understand their current training process and review and analyze those processes to make effective changes and improvements to current processes.
  • Liaise with external training providers to compare pricing structure and service deliverables for the department.
  • Review training practices, and make changes to the current process where needed.
  • Coordinate with department managers to understand where training is lacking or needs to be improved.
  • Keep track of the training budget, ensuring sufficient funds are allocated.
  • Develop regular forecasts and reports for senior executives on the training provided both internally and externally.
  • Manage and oversee the training team.
  • Coordinate the delivery of certificates of training to the correct personnel.
  • Ensure complete compliance within the training department, ordering regular audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in either human resources, business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a similar role
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in a focused training role
  • Strong understanding of training processes, benefits, and more
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external team members
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Good listening skills, with high levels of attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office platforms
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize own workload
  • Strong understanding of business goals and objectives
  • Ability to implement KPIs and SLAs as required
  • Strong leadership skills
