Why does it matter?

Keeping candidates updated and interested in the positions they have applied for is imperative. It ensures they are aware that the company is working through their application and that they are being acknowledged.

When to send?

After an application has been made, and once the company is interested in the said candidate, an email update would be sent to inform the applicant that they are being considered for the position.
