The same characteristics that employers look for when employing long-term staff are also important when hiring seasonal employees. Gaining employment requires a positive attitude, expertise, and a strong work ethic. Like recruiting anyone else, hiring seasonal workers involves asking the standard interview questions. The same problems will invariably arise with temporary jobs, but there are also some important distinctions between seasonal and regular roles.

Skill related questions

  • What professional goals do you have following the current campaign?
  • The moment your shift was about to expire, what would you do if a customer came up to you with inquiries?
  • How would you handle a consumer complaint?
  • What unique abilities do you have that can benefit our customers?
  • Fantastic service to a single client versus poor service to a large number of clients: Which is superior?

Behavioral or situational questions 

  • How would you reply to a consumer who yelled at us incessantly because they couldn't find a certain item on our display cases?
  • Assume that two customers are arguing over the last item and generating a commotion in the store. How would you react?
  • Describe a situation when you had to handle many clients at once. How did you keep your cool?
  • Tell me about a challenge you handled in an unexpected or novel way. What was the end result? Were you pleased or satisfied?
  • What have you discovered as a result of workplace errors?

General questions 

  • What motivated your application for this job? How well do you think your qualifications match those of the position?
  • Working morning and evening shifts in exchange is required for this position. Do you have time?
  • What would cause you to leave a job within the first week or month?
  • Why are you looking for a temporary position?
  • What are your thoughts on our business, goods, and assistance?
