Embedded Software Engineers are responsible for the design, testing, and implementation of software for a company. They often build high-spec, fully embedded software solutions with proper code and to industry standards.

When interviewing an Embedded Software Engineer, it is important to identify their knowledge of code, software development, and tech skills. In addition, they should be able to write code from scratch, debug code and demonstrate knowledge of testing and implementing new software. It’s usually useful to conduct a coding test as part of the interview process for this type of role.

When faced with a coding problem such as bugs, what are your steps in identifying the cause and resolving the issue?
What steps do you take to further your knowledge about new and emerging technology and applications?
What is your biggest project achievement so far? What did you enjoy about it?
