Interview Questions to Hire Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) plan and manage patient care according to each patient’s needs. They work in hospitals, extended care facilities, health clinics, and private homes. A LPN’s duties include primary patient care such as changing dressings, monitoring patient treatment progress, and preparing patients for surgery.

When assessing LPNs, look for someone who is emotionally stable and can handle working under high levels of stress and pressure. LPNs should demonstrate high standards of professionalism, compassion, and the ability to perform work for extended periods with physical endurance. Candidates who lack flexibility and willingness to adjust when working with patients, and who lack healthy people skills should be avoided.
