Senior Health unit coordinators have an administrative support role within a healthcare establishment. Their main duties revolve around medical administration, and candidates usually take a six-month training program. Strong candidates will show a good understanding of medical terminology, efficiency, and process implementation. Candidates should also display strong communication and organizational skills.

  • A patient's family member arrives who is distressed, and in a panic about their relative, they demand to see them. However, the doctor has said no visitors at this time, what do you do?
  • You have been asked to organize the medical records and update the system by the practice director/manager, but if a doctor asks you to help with a patient's vital signs and check insurance, what do you do?
  • Provide an example of when you have given exceptional customer service and support.
  • Why do you think continuous training and education are important in the medical industry?
