Training coordinators assess employees' skills to determine whether additional training is desired. The training coordinator is also in charge of preparing new staff for their roles.

Training Coordinators work with Training Managers to assess training needs, plan content, create training materials, and deliver training programs. They are also important in assessing the outcomes of training and development projects.

Skill related questions

  • What part did you have in evaluating the outcomes of a training program?
  • How can you determine whether your trainees have been properly taught new skills?
  • What kind of planning and structure would you use to put together a training course for a new hire?
  • Why is it critical to assess the outcomes of each training plan?
  • What methods do you apply to evaluate how each effective training affects both the organization and employees as a whole?

Behavioral or situational questions 

  • Describe some employee orientation strategies that have proven to be effective for you.
  • Have you ever recognized an unmet training requirement in an organization? What action did you take?
  • Describe an instance when you earned compliments on your training ability.
  • What would you do if you were granted a modest budget to arrange company-wide training?
  • What efforts do you take to stay current on employee training techniques?

  • Do you feel at ease facilitating group conversations in front of a large crowd?
  • Do you have prior experience organizing online training programs and monitoring potential employees running successfully?
  • Which kind of learning management have you employed when delivering instruction?
  • What do you believe is the most significant consideration when preparing and delivering training?
  • How frequently should staff be trained?
