Job Brief 

An opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented and well-organized Accounting Clerk to join our team and offer support for our accounting and finance functions. 

You will be responsible for processing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing assistance with other accounting and finance tasks as required. 

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational and communication skills, be adept at working with numerical data and be able to work proficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and receivable, including reviewing and entering invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling accounts.
  • Maintain accurate and complete financial records, including journal entries, general ledgers, and financial reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Respond to vendor and client inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting and analysis.
  • Assist with other accounting and finance functions as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service to vendors and clients.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with accounting software and systems, such as QuickBooks or Xero
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience in a similar industry or field is a plus
