Job Brief 

We are searching for a proficient and well-versed Claims Adjuster to become a part of our team. 

You will be in charge of assessing insurance claims, ascertaining coverage, and discussing settlements with policyholders. 

The ideal candidate should have a comprehensive comprehension of insurance policies, excellent analytical and communication abilities, and the competence to interact professionally with clients and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate insurance claims to determine coverage and assess damages.
  • Investigate claims by interviewing policyholders, witnesses, and other involved parties.
  • Review police reports, medical records, and other relevant documentation to evaluate claims.
  • Negotiate settlements with policyholders, taking into account policy coverage and other relevant factors.
  • Maintain accurate records of claims, including investigation results, settlement agreements, and other relevant information.
  • Collaborate with other insurance professionals, including underwriters and legal teams, to ensure timely and accurate claims processing.
  • Provide excellent customer service to policyholders and other stakeholders, including responding to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in insurance policies, laws, and regulations that may impact claims processing.
  • Identify and report on potential fraud or other irregularities related to insurance claims.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in claims adjusting or related insurance roles
  • Strong understanding of insurance policies and coverage
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with clients and other stakeholders
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to insurance claims processing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Relevant industry certifications preferred (e.g. CPCU, AIC)
