The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for employees and visitors. Custodian responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the facility in line with company standards and guidelines.
• Carry out routine cleaning as required including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of restrooms, ensuring they are adequately stocked with supplies.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain the overall appearance of the facility by ensuring all areas are clean, presentable, and tidy.
• Execute minor maintenance as needed.
• Ensure adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and notify management when additional supplies are needed.
• Keep an eye out for any safety hazards and report them to management immediately.
• Communicate with other staff members when necessary to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Proven experience as a custodian, janitor, or in a similar role
• Ability to handle cleaning chemicals in a safe and appropriate manner
• Strong attention to detail and ability to inspect areas closely
• Physical ability to perform essential duties including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with other team members
• Flexibility to work different shifts and adapt to changing schedules
