Job brief

We are seeking a professional and knowledgeable Dermatologist to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dermatology both through education and work experience. The focus of the role is to assess and diagnose skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, and other common and not common skin complaints whilst supporting patients through their treatment and journey to improved skin and quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with patients to ascertain the skin-related issues they are facing.
  • Assess and investigate patients' issues using a variety of techniques, including skin scraping.
  • Diagnose patients’ conditions and develop treatment plans to improve or cure their conditions.
  • Prescribe medication where required.
  • Monitor patients' progress and note any significant changes, including improvement or deterioration.
  • Report any new or unseen conditions to the relevant institutes.
  • Make referrals to other healthcare service providers when needed.
  • Educate patients on proper care and maintenance of their condition and proper hygiene regimes when needed.
  • Work in line with patient confidentiality guidelines at all times.
  • Regularly attend conferences, workshops, and other medical lectures to ensure you maintain a good standard of industry knowledge and best practices.

Requirements

  • Masters’ Degree in Biology or related field
  • Graduate from Medical school with a primary discipline in dermatology
  • Complete a minimum of four years of externship/internship or residency training
  • Complete and pass the licensing exam/certification required by the country or state you live in
  • Pass all required exams to become board certified if applicable in your region
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate and diagnose various skin complaints
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good administrative abilities
