Job brief

We are seeking to hire a full-time Field Engineer who will be responsible for the coordination of multiple projects throughout all stages to completion and the project close-out process development. This opportunity will offer the successful candidate growth in planning, managing, and business knowledge and skills extensively, and build up relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide necessary engineering expertise with preparation and review of reports, maintenance, and monitoring plans, and analysis of data to ensure environmental goals and objectives are adequately addressed.
  • Assist site managers and construction engineers by ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with policies, regulations, licenses, and plans.
  • Maintain and manage all plans, specifications, cost, and material estimates, subcontracts, and related reports.
  • Ensure control in the design of projects and specifications and ensure adherence to criteria including quality, safety, timing, and cost.
  • Always maintain accurate cost control plans by entering daily units of completion, processing time cards, and preparing material packing slips for payment and cost control updates.
  • Conduct technical problem investigations and participate in conducting studies, analyses, surveys, research, and development for effective solutions of complex engineering problems ensuring that such analysis considers developments within the field, corporate policies, and practices.
  • Maintain all documentation control and filing.
  • Coordinate the procurement of construction materials, and ensure timely delivery and accuracy of purchase orders.
  • Maintain good relationships with owners, contractors, and all internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of technological developments in the field of engineering.

Requirements

  • Degree / Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in Engineering, Construction, or related fields
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in construction
  • Knowledge of safety compliance regulations and commitment to a safe work environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction methods and processes (equipment, techniques, materials, standards)
  • Ability to work on complex projects
  • Excellent communication skills and relays information in a timely manner
  • An agile approach to problem-solving
