Job brief

Our department is seeking highly motivated individuals to add to our team of Firefighters. Basic duties range from responding to medical emergencies, performing fire safety inspections, and preventing and extinguishing fires.

Responsibilities

Respond to calls for help.
Prevent and extinguish fires to preserve lives, environment, and property.
Maintain fire fighting equipment, including but not limited to fire trucks, water hoses, fire extinguishers, and pumps.
Provide basic life support to sick or injured citizens.

Requirements

Complete fire academy-based training program
EMS/EMT certification and/or ability to pass the examination; paramedic license highly encouraged
Pass a background check with zero felony convictions
Maintain a high level of physical fitness
Pass medical examination
