Junior Enterprise Architect job description

Job brief

We are seeking a detail-focused, knowledgeable and professional Junior Enterprise Architect to join our team! The ideal fit for the role will have a strong background in IT and networks and be adept with problem-solving and root cause analysis. The focus of the role is to oversee and manage the company's IT and network infrastructure to ensure the lowest possible downtime and security of the company’s information.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and review the current IT and network structure currently in place within the company.
• Investigate the security and viability of the functions in place and brainstorm on possible improvements.
• Develop, implement, and test potential improvements and upgrades to the infrastructure.
• Perform regular upkeep and maintenance to the IT and Network structure, both software and hardware.
• Liaise with the IT department to pre-empt and foresee any potential security threats.
• Ensure that all hardware and software have a regular maintenance schedule.
• Implement effective security measures to protect the infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in IT or related field
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience the same role or a similar role
• Network+ certification or similar would be an advantage
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and networks
• Able to collaborate with various departments
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• A keen eye for detail
• Good problem-solving abilities with root cause analysis skills
• Ability to prioritize own time and workload
