We are seeking a dynamic, metrics-driven Junior Recruiter to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for placing people into jobs that suit them and be adaptive to different requirements and work settings. The role will focus on providing support to the recruitment team whilst developing skills and abilities, and learning new work methods to ascertain promotion to the level of Recruiter.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the recruitment team and take instructions from them regarding open vacancies.
  • Actively listen to role requirements and make notes about those requirements to find suitable candidates for the role.
  • Assist with the development and writing of job descriptions.
  • Learn and navigate job advertising websites and actively post open vacancies on them.
  • Work with the recruiters and managers to screen resumes and learn how to identify good candidates.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Complete administrative tasks as required such as, obtaining references from previous employers, obtaining background checks and paperwork such as work status from applicants.
  • Learn to use and navigate the CRM/ATS systems and enter candidate data into those systems and ensure it is kept up to date and current.
  • Sit in on interviews and make notes on interview techniques and tips to conduct effective interviews.
  • Complete initial phone screening of candidates.
  • Organize interviews with candidates.
  • Send out any required documentation or requests to candidates as instructed by the team.
  • Attend sales and customer service training as required and shadow consultants on client meetings.
  • Implement and maintain an effective filing system.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or above in HR, business, or other related field, or equivalent work experience and education
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Able to listen and follow instructions
  • Able to effectively manage own workload and time to maximize output
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience using a CRM or ATS system would be an advantage
  • Forward-thinking attitude with the ability to meet and exceed targets
  • Able to work productively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experienced with working towards targets and deadlines
  • Good knowledge of all Microsoft packages including Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • General knowledge of HR best practices would be an advantage
  • Good problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team to achieve a common goal
