Job brief

We are seeking a service-focused and knowledgeable Landscaper to join our team! The ideal fit for the role will have a strong background in working with gardens and landscaping, and have extensive knowledge of instruments used to keep properties tidy and in an aesthetically pleasing condition. The focus of the role is to work on customers' gardens and yards to keep their fauna in good condition, ensuring healthy plants, grass, and overall maintenance of the outdoor space.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of the company, greeting customers at their homes and taking time to understand their wishes and requirements relating to their outdoor space.
• Ensure that the customers' instructions are followed regarding watering schedules.
• Work with various equipment to mow lawns, trim hedges, flowers, and bushes, and edge and tidy up lawn edges and remove weeds from pathways.
• Use various chemicals and pesticides to ensure that fauna remains in good healthy condition, without being attacked by pests.
• Pot and place new plants in the relevant locations and transfer them to ground and flower beds when needed.
• Ensure regular maintenance is carried out on paths and driveways for weeding, power washing, etc.
• Provide excellent customer service and education to clients about plans, flowers, and lawn care.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 2 years' experience in a similar role
• Ability to work independently
• Strong understanding of flowers, plants, and how to care for them
• Ability to use and maintain required equipment such as trimmers, lawnmowers, pruning shears, etc
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Physically able to lift up to 15kg
• Basic understanding of health and safety in the workplace
• Strong problem-solving skills
