Job brief

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager with a strong Materials Science Engineering background to join our team.

The chosen applicant will oversee the creation of materials science-based goods and services from conception through distribution.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement product development plans in line with the mission and objectives of the business.
To determine the needs for the product, collect and evaluate feedback from stakeholders, customers, and other departments.
Create and assess technical specs and product requirements papers.
Work with cross-functional teams from R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and sales to create and introduce new goods.
Make sure product development projects stay on schedule and within the allocated budget.
Help in the creation of business models, product concepts, and strategies.
Provide the team with technical knowledge and assistance while developing a product.
Provide techniques for monitoring user feedback and product usage, and collaborate with teams to process and address user feedback.
Ensure that every product development phase, from conception to launch, is finished on time.
Keep up with the latest breakthroughs in materials science to recognize opportunities for new product development.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science or a related field
5+ years of experience in product development in the materials science industry
Strong project management and leadership skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with both qualitative and quantitative data
The capacity to operate under time constraints and under duress
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Familiarity with product development processes, including design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing
The capacity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced workplace
