What Does A Millwright Do?

A millwright is a skilled tradesperson who installs, dismantles, maintains, repairs, reassembles, and moves machinery in factories, power plants, and construction sites. They are responsible for ensuring that all machinery and equipment are running smoothly and efficiently. Millwrights diagnose problems with mechanical systems and perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment. They also test the performance of machinery and equipment, clean and lubricate machinery and equipment, perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment, troubleshoot electrical systems, and fabricate parts when necessary.

Job brief

We are looking for a skilled Millwright who has experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of specialized tools such as welders or hydraulic bolters and will be able to align and replace a machine’s individual parts.

As a Millwright, you will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery and equipment are running smoothly and efficiently. You will be expected to diagnose problems with mechanical systems and perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.

In addition to your technical skills, you should have strong problem-solving skills and good communication skills. You should also be able to read technical manuals to understand equipment and controls.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment. They should also be willing to work flexible hours.
