Job brief

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Music Producer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the creation, recording, and mastering of music tracks. They will work closely with artists to ensure that musical compositions are of the highest quality and that deadlines are met.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with artists and audio engineers to create high-quality music tracks for distribution.
• Oversee the recording and mixing process, ensuring that all musical elements are balanced correctly.
• Work with musicians and songwriters to ensure that musical compositions are of the highest quality, providing input on arrangements, instrumentation, and sound.
• Work with the recording engineer to ensure that all equipment is working correctly and that recording sessions stay on schedule.
• Manage the budget and oversee the use of studios and recording equipment.
• Maintain relationships with record labels and other industry professionals.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new technology to implement new strategies and techniques in music production.
• Manage the final mastering process to ensure that the final mixes sound perfect and meet industry standards for quality.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in music production
• A strong understanding of music theory and composition
• Proficiency in digital audio workstations such as Pro Tools, Logic, or Ableton
• Extensive knowledge of the recording and mixing process, including microphone placement, signal processing, and mixing techniques
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor musicians and engineers to achieve the best results
• Experience with music sampling and sequencing
• A strong portfolio of past work, including samples of music productions and references from previous clients
• A bachelor's or master's degree in Music Production, Audio Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred
