Job brief

We are seeking to fill a lucrative position in our company. We are seeking a full-time Scheduler who will be responsible for the management of schedules and optimization of all production resources and project sites.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Production planning and scheduling activities.
  • Lead and mentor production schedulers/planners; delegate tasks as needed.
  • Establish scheduling templates and change processes required to construct and maintain project schedules.
  • Monitor Master Schedule and follow up on significant concerns with production and/or management.
  • Review customer requirements in advance far enough in advance to identify potential problems that allow for an action plan to be established to reduce the impact on the customer.
  • Manage deliveries, loading dock scheduling, and construction hoist scheduling as a supporting role to the construction project field management of site activities for various projects.
  • Assist the project management team in maintaining timely and effective change management processes, procedures, and systems.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or College Diploma from Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management field
  • 5+ years of experience in the capacity of scheduler for construction projects
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office (MS Word and Excel), Microsoft Project
  • An understanding of construction, procurement and logistics
  • Knowledge of building codes, contract law, construction material, design concepts, and local municipality requirements and regulations
  • Strong attention and knowledge of analyzing the site, building, and suite plans
  • Understands drawings and other technical drawings
